Autumn Update 2021

Some notable updates:

  • Please check the Weightlifting Data/Ratio Calculators label. It has been updated.
    • Manuel from MaStrength submitted a Chinese Standards spreadsheet for lift comparison
    • I also included a Catalyst Athletics standard that was posted.
    • This means users now have three means of comparing their lifts: Chinese Elite, American Elite, and Soviet Era Elite lifts

  • Please check the labels on the right. These have been changed some.
    • I have included Special Considerations.
      • This will include unique considerations such as  time constraints, anatomy (long leg lifters) or other unique points.
    • I have included System/Approach.
      • This will include different methodologies of lifting.
      • This will be used for any program of a specific nationality (e.g. China, Bulgarian)

  • Please check the Articles & Research page above
    • I have updated the EWF magazines to all published.
    • I included the table of contents of each magazine as well.
    • I would highly recommend looking through these magazines and the contents. Many of you will find these useful or informative. Some idea of the contents:
      • Editorials by EWF president
      • Many articles on pull style/variations by Bud Charniga
      • Research papers on force production, technique analysis
      • Analysis, articles on elite weightlifters
      • Many articles, papers on women & youth in weightlifting & considerations
      • Sport philosophy concepts, sport performance, diet
      • Anatomy, injury, neurologic, biologic papers

  • Upcoming spreadsheets
    • A Chinese program, user requested. This will be uploaded tomorrow.
    • A Masters program, user created & submitted.
    • A Bulgarian program, found online.
    • A comprehensive program I have yet to start. I hope to get this out in time for a new year for a training cycle.

It appears the follow/subscription service is working. I have seen some subscriber-added notifications. I am glad people are still finding this site useful. Please continue to reach out with any comments, spreadsheets or requests.

Thank you

Post Notifications/Subscription Service

Since I am starting to make more spreadsheets, here is an update.

In the past, it was requested for this site to have an e-mail notification for any spreadsheet posts I make. If I made a post, you would get an email notification. This way you don't have to check here regularly. I added that feature because it was requested.

Google ended support for post notification/subscription service for blogger.

I was able to find what I think is an acceptable alternative. I am posting this update to ask for help from anyone that wants to subscribes to the new service.

I want this to be only a post-notification/update email.

I do not want to send anyone daily, weekly, or monthly reminders. My updates are very infrequent. I am not trying to spam your inbox or increase traffic. This is not that kind of page.

  1. I hope you only receive a single email and only when there is a new spreadsheet available.
    1. If you get inundated with emails, please comment below.

  2. It looks like you can simply enter your email and that will work.
    1. I don't want anyone to have to register an account with "follow.it" in order to get my post. Please comment if I am wrong.

  3. If the subscription service "follow.it" begins spamming your inbox, please let me know.

Just like the old button, the new service is directly to the right at the top of the labels/tags. I did export the list of emails from the old service. I will add them to the new service once I feel it is working properly.

If this service turns out poorly, I will have to find a different RSS feed or alternative newsletter type of service. Suggestions are welcome.

Please let me know your thoughts or comments. It will be greatly appreciated.

The site is still alive

Apologies for the drought. I have been very busy for the past year.

More spreadsheets coming in the future.

Keep sending emails & requests as I always answer them.

Not-an-update, Update

It's been a few months so I am just letting any casual/new visitors know that the site is still very much alive, my schedule is just extremely tight for the next month or so.

I will sit down on some free days after that period and get some work done once my schedule clears up.

I always have a growing backlog to choose from, so I'll try to put a dent in it with a couple programs.

Thank you for your patience

Spring Update

Spring Update

Extremely belated seasonal update. Winter has well passed, my semester is back in full swing and my updates will be limited again for a while.

As usual, I have a growing number of programs planned to upload. Over break I was able to upload a few programs and honestly, they were all new programs I happened to find online. This is great for more variety but unfortunate because I delayed my work on programs I already had sitting around.

If anyone has a program they would like to see in a spreadsheet format, please feel free to submit them to me. E-mail me or submit a comment to this update and I will bump the submission to the top of my to-do list.

For what's to come:
  1. There are a number of LSUS programs (12 week) available online
    • I plan on at least linking to a few that have already been created (not by me).
    • I also plan to have couple derivatives I've seen floating around that I like.
  2. I have a 16-week cycle that I need to just finish the percentages work.
    • It will be plain text and probably one single, long sheet - splitting into pages may make it a headache with the cell data.
    • This has been sitting around for quite some time and I just haven't forced myself to complete the second half.
  3.  There is a 12-week Juggernaut program in PDF format that will get converted.
    • This was linked from a user.
  4. I have around 3 or so squat focused programs that I need to get to
  5. There is another Greenwood weightlifting cycle I have to work on
  6. I have an old-school, combination powerlifting+weightlifting program
    • This could be useful for any super-total training or just general strength before a more focused cycle.
  7. There is also another Pendlay cycle I will have to work on
With all that said, I think I have more stuff lying around waiting to get into spreadsheet format. I appreciate all the views/visits to the site. Keep commenting and sending emails as needed.
